WILL WATER DAMAGE THE TOP?

NO. The oil finish used on the top will repel water, but it is not water proof. Water left standing on either an oil or lacquer top for an extended period of time can damage the top.

CAN YOU PUT IN A SINK IN A WOOD TOP?

YES! Sinks are completely safe to have in a wood top. The sink area just needs to be oiled more often than the rest of the top. Please reference the maintenance instructions for details.

WHAT FINISHES DO WE OFFER?

LACQUER & OIL. Lacquer is not recommended for kitchen applications, it is not food safe. The oil finish is easy to maintain and with daily ware and tare the top may get scratched or damaged, with an oil finish you can polish and repair the top as needed.

ARE OUR TOPS FOOD SAFE?

YES! The oil finish is food safe, and studies have shown that wood is safer than most work surfaces.
